Privacy Notice

What we collect

When you scan a Qwackan's QR code and choose to add a sighting, we collect:

• An approximate geographic location (rounded to ~11km precision)
• Which Qwackan was spotted

What we don't collect

• Your name or email address
• Your exact location or IP address
• Any personal information

Consent

Sightings are only recorded when you explicitly choose to add one. No tracking occurs without your consent. If you scan a QR code and choose not to add a sighting, nothing is stored.

Cookies

We use a single functional cookie to manage site access during our preview period. No analytics or advertising cookies are used. See our cookie notice for details.

Data storage

Sighting data is stored as aggregated counts per geographic area. Individual visits cannot be identified or traced back to any person.

Third parties

We do not share any data with third parties. Map tiles are loaded from CARTO (privacy policy: carto.com/privacy).
